there are six general forms of shoes presented for the Fall 2013 collection: heels, ankle booties, mid/lower-calves boots, knee-high boots, strappy heels, and alteration looks of traditional shoes (I'll explain in a bit). I've gathered photos from the runway shows and hopefully provided an easier view of this season's beautiful shoe collection! I had There are a few designs that are my ultimate favorites, but my favorite designer throughout the season would be Prabal Gurung. His designs and I looks chic and empowering, and I would do anything to get a pair (especially one of these boots!)

Trend - New York Fashion Week A/W2013 SHOES
I've been intending to do this post for a long time now... SHOES! I've loved shoes for the longest time, and whenever I can choose between an awesome pair of shoes and a great jacket, I will go for the shoes 9 out of 10 times. For me, the choice of shoes are one of the easiest way to dress an outfit up or down. As a student, I usually wear a simple pair of jeans and knit top. However, if I feel that today is a special day, I will wear a pair of fancier shoes instead of a pair of sneakers, or wear a type of shoes to impress people. So it may not be a huge surprise that I want to talk about the shoes trends this season.

Looks - Prabal Gurung's Floral Crush Shorts
Well it has been a long time, but we finally got another styling shoot! Today we are featuring the super cute pair of shorts featured in the Prabal Gurung for Target - LOVE collection. The collection was sold during the mid-February (during Valentines Day) and it was an absolute shopping frenzy. When I first went to the store, it was already sold out and I was lucky enough to find it in the Target at New Jersey. The shorts was adorable and comfortable. The print is one of the signature prints in the collection (along with the "First Date Print").
Because the print is already so colorful and eye-catching, there is no need to match it with crazy tops or some big chunky jewelry. In fact, big jewelries may cheapen the short because of its adorable nature. I matched it with a black top and cardigan simply because I want it to stand out, but it'll do great with other color tops too as long as its something that coincide with the palette of the shorts. If you really want to pair it with a crazy top, make sure the pattern matches and is from the same corner of the color palette to avoid looking like a clown. I wore it with heels, but it is also perfect for sneakers or flats, as long as the color matches!

PRABAL GURUNG LOVE Target Styling
You may have all remembered the Prabal Gurung frenzy in Target. Prabal used his sense of print and added some incredible colors in Targets everywhere. Out of all of the different prints, my favorite is the "First Date" Print. They are all incredibly gorgeous pieces that are classy, chic, and very easy to dress for. However, some may tend to dress them with simple jeans or skirt, and not taking these tops to its full potential.
Here is a suggestion on how to dress it for the different persona that is in you! Adding a leather skirt, it can be dressed into a badass look, along with the studded booties. Then there are the classy white-gray shorts that can be quite formal that may be worn to a meeting (in the spring, of course, don't wear it in the winter and freeze!). Lastly, there is the simple jeans (of course) for the more laid-back look. However, don't go for the classic blue denim, but choose some other pastel color! then spice it up with jewelries that is also included in the image. Enjoy!

Prabal Gurung - Featured Designer of New York Fashion Week A/W 2013 02/09
Prabal Gurung
He is probably one of my favorite designers now. After seeing his work from last season, and the limited collection for target LOVE, Prabal Gurung has set new ground with his military inspired Ready-to-wear collection this season. Using his own fashionable ways, he expressed his feeling toward's women in combat, and his own troop of women warriors trumped the runway. Stunning Collection.
Highlights include the segmented boots, long gown for the last look, the jacket for look1, and the shoulder belt embellishments for look 10. Prabal managed to create the perfect balance between femininity and toughness with his fabric choice and the accessories. Whenever there is a very feminine look, there will be a leather or something to "buff" it up a bit.
To read about the other designers on this day (February 9th).

LOVE: Prabal Gurung for Target
I'm not promoting for Target, I genuinely think this collection is great.
Prabal Gurung is a Nepalese American Fashion Designer. He launched his first fashion show back in February 2009. His style is usually pretty, classy women's wear, but with his modern twist to it. Even though they are a bit more simple, with less prints and patterns, they are intricately constructed that makes his past collection edgy and stand out from the crowd.
So how will it look if Prabal Gurung collaborate with Target? I am assuming that since there is a certain price range for Target, Gurung will have to use more affordable resources than he is used to. How will the collaboration turns out with this limitation?
It turns out to be AWESOME!
Look at these patterns, and prints! The boldness and lightness of these looks are perfect for the upcoming spring and summer!
My favorite looks are Look 2 for its versatility Look 5's shorts' fun-ness, Look 7 for its edgy and spunkiness, Look 8 for its edgy femininity, and Look 9 for its sexiness.
The general Price range from around 15 to 35, with occasional items such as leather jacket or blazers that cost more than 40 bucks. In general, a pretty good deal for such a high-fashion, ready-to-wear looks.
Below are the selected looks from the collection.
This collection will be released on February 10th!! Be Pumped!! It's released limitedly so be prepared to snatch some clothes!!
